New Replicate Tool Video & Silhouette Cameo Retreat, Nov. 14-16

Replicate Tool

Replicate Tool

Happy Saturday!

I hope all of you are enjoying this Spring Saturday!  Its windy & a little rainy here — but its warm!  So, I’m a happy girl.  And its been a great day to work inside on a few posts & updates for all of you!

First — I have a new video tutorial that I’ve posted on YouTube.   I have upgraded my MAC to the newest version of the 3.0 Studio Software & its working just fine!  I know that some of you have been nervous to do this — but I believe that Silhouette has worked out most of the kinks — and are still working on any that are popping up!   And the good news is – -if you install the new version & aren’t loving it — you can uninstall it & reinstall the older Legacy version.    But honestly, I think that once you’ve learned your way around the new version, you will like it!  For the downloads – -go to the Silhouette site for both MAC & PC!

So, today’s video is about using the Replicate and Center of Rotation in Silhouette Studio.   I love how you can take a simple shape or design & using the Replicate tool — create a much more complicated, interesting design.   To view the new video – simply click here!   It will take you right to YouTube & allow you to view the video.

This is a fairly short, concise video that demonstrates both the basic & advanced functions of the Replicate Tool!   And it also shows you how to change your Center of Rotation — gives you lots of fun options for creating designs!

But THATS NOT ALL!!!  In the past few years, since we started holding our Silhouette Retreats, they have grown tremendously!  Many of you have attended multiple times.   And we love that!  However, we’ve grown to the point where we need to create new levels of retreats.   So, the first one is going to be an introductory curriculum - Getting to Know Your Silhouette Cameo!    This retreat will provide an opportunity for those of you who still have your Cameo sitting in the box — or have barely cut on it — to “start at the very beginning” – and learn to use so many fabulous features on your Silhouette Cameo.   We will review the software & icons first – -then move on to projects that everyone wants to make!  I’ve received lots of input from customers — and have incorporated it all into this retreat!

Smiling faces

Here are just a few comments about our retreats!

Susan Mars – I can’t tell you how FABULOUS this retreat was. I learned so much and walked away feeling so much more comfortable with my machine and software. THANK YOU, Terri!

Hey Terri!
Had a great time at Peachtree City Retreat. I learned so much that I thought my head would bust! Well worth the time and effort and cost of the trip. Anyone who wants to really learn what the silhouette can do needs to come to one of these retreats!   Terri Miller, SE Tennessee!

This retreat will be held November 14-16, 2014 at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center outside of Atlanta.  We’ve held 2 retreats at this location & its an awesome place!   Discounted room rates will be available soon!!  Please don’t delay in registering!  We have disappointed ladies every time that are not able to attend due to the spaces being full!   And I will be teaching at several upcoming events, where we always have ladies who register for our retreats from those events.  You can learn more about this retreat here, or email me at Terrijohnsoncreates@gmail.com!

AND NOT TO WORRY!    If you have previously attended one of our retreats, and feel you are ready to move on to more advanced projects, or if you’ve just been using your Cameo for a while & are comfortable with the basics — we haven’t forgotten you!!   We are working on upcoming events with new curriculum that will challenge, inspire & excite you!  Details will be posted as they are firmed up.   In the mean time — we’d love your input on what you’d like to see at those events, too!  Email me at terrijohnsoncreates@gmail.com — or leave a post in the comments here on the blog!  We’d love to hear from you!

For all of those of you who are Moms — Happy Mother’s Day!    I have the most amazing mom, ever!  And I love her dearly.    And I have two incredible daughters who made me a Mother — and now a grandmother!!   Which is the absolute best yet!!   Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother’s Day -Terri
