Happy Valentine’s Day! Using the Line Style Tool to Create Print & Cut

1200x1200_galleryI think that Valentine’s Day is one of the most fun days for crafters like us!   We have the opportunity to use our creativity to share our love with the people in our lives!  And this year, with my oldest grandson in pre-school, its even more fun for this “Mimi” to make Valentines for his friends in his class.   As it happens, they are all boys!   The teacher is quite a saint!   Can you imagine a class of 8 little 3 year old boys in one class!!   Me neither – -but it made it easier to create a boy-themed valentine!

Now, I have to make a disclaimer here — this was not an original idea with me.  I saw different versions of this on Pinterest, and  just decided to make my own!  And while, its probably too late to use for this Valentine’s Day – this tutorial can help with other projects in the future!   Its much easier to show in a video – -so I’ve created a little video tutorial on the Line Style Tool, so that you can see how I made this card in Silhouette Studio.

Now, its time to Print & Cut!

Once the cards were all cut, I simply used a decorative washi tape to adhere the little Hot Wheels Cards to the Card.   They were even on sale at Target for 79 cents each!  Such a deal!

That’s it!   Since this little preschool class only has 8 little boys — it was a pretty inexpensive gift — and a huge hit with all the boys!  The moms kinda liked it, too — as they already had enough sugar for one day!   I really love how quickly & inexpensively you can make personalized gifts with your Silhouette Cameo!   (And a little help from Pinterest inspiration!)
