Happy New Year!  Hope you all had a fabulous holiday & are gearing up for 2016!  We are so busy getting ready for our April 2016 All Things Silhouette Conference!  If you don’t know what this is all about — click here to learn all about our 2nd Conference in Peachtree City — just outside Atlanta — April 2-3!   Our last Conference in November was awesome & this one will be even better!

Here are some of the exciting features of April’s Conference!

  • Hands on Classroom for Cameo & Curio!  Silhouette America is shipping in 30 of each of these machines for classroom use!  We will be assigning 2 students at each machine, so a total of 60 students per class!  Once the classes are posted, we will notate which ones are actually hands on.  Students will bring their laptops to follow along in class — and then take turns cutting at the machine!
  • Saturday evening Make It/Take It Project classes — Many of you wanted some classes on Saturday evening — so you got it!   We will be offering some classes where students will actually make a project on Saturday evening!  Details are being finalized, but currently we have a class Screenprinting with Silhouette Cameo; Heat Transfer Class; Acrylic Coaster with “Wet Method” of Applying Vinyl; and more!

Friday evening Meet & Greet Dinner:  Since so many of our attendees arrive on Friday – we are offering an optional “Meet & Great Dinner” on Friday evening at the hotel.  This gives attendees the opportunity to meet new friends & share excitement — and it eliminates the problem of transportation for those that flew to the Conference.

  • Headshot

    Kathleen Servais of SiserNA

New Presenters — SiserNA is sending Kathleen Servais to share with at
tendees everything about Heat Transfer Vinyl!   And Kelly Wayment of

Kelly Wayment - Finding Time to Creates

Kelly Wayment – Finding Time to Creates

“Finding Time to Create” blog will be teaching attendees how to use some intermediate techniques in Silhouette  Studio.   Also, Silhouette America will be sending in presenters to teach on the machines!   So exciting!

  • Awesome Door P10572183_1034504923288886_8011837562578387146_orizes and Giveaways!  We are still in the process of
finalizing vendors & giveaways- -but here is a little sneak peek — SiserNA is giving away a Heat Press — and The Rhinestone World is giving away a Rhinestone covered Cameo!
  • Beginners Track for “Newbies” – So many of you have asked for beginner classes — so we are offering a series of classes for Beginners — starting with getting your Cameo out of the box & installing the software!  All of our classes will be noted as Beginner, Intermediate & Advancd!

Can you tell that we are super excited about this upcoming Conference??? Even though our November Conference was amazing, we have evaluated all of the feedback received from attendees and are making the April Conference even better!!   More value with hands on classes; more topics to address all levels of Silhouette users; more opportunities for “friendship & fellowship”; more varied vendors — just MORE!

We are receiving registrations daily — but there still are some spaces available & rooms at the Wyndham are also available!    But, don’t delay!!  Our last Conference sold out & so many people were disappointed that they couldn’t attend!  We will sell out again!  So register today!!

Hope to see you in Atlanta in April!!!   Hugs, signature1000-2

  1. Linda Green says:

Terri, will you be offering another Conference later in 2016 in Atlanta?

  2. Jennifer Allen says:

    Thanks Terri,
I attended last November and it was so helpful and fun! I plan to attend this November also. I hope everything you’ve described for April will be available in November!

    • Great, Jennifer! We hope to have a similar format — however, due to schedules, etc — sometimes the instructors will change. However, we have an exciting line up in the works for November, as well!

  3. Is there no “early bird” registration this year?

    • Good morning, Deniece – Not sure which Conference you are referring to — but we are only 79 days away from the April Conference! And registration won’t be open until May for the November conference – -so the answer is no, we don’t have an early bird registration. Hope that you can join us!

  4. Marsha Borski says:

My gf and I are planning to register for the April 2016 conference. Can you tell me the cost for the Friday evening dinner at the “meet and greet”. Also, what time do the classes usually begin on Saturday? We are new Silhouette owners and this will be our first time to attend the conference. We’re very excited!

    • Marsha — We don’t have a definitive price on the dinner — but it will be about $20 — Maybe less. We will begin on Saturday morning with the vendor hall opening @ 8am and classes start at 9! We will end up at 4:30 on Sunday! So excited that you are going to join us! Don’t delay in registering, as we are close to filling up!

      • Just received confirmation that Friday evening’s Pizza buffet will be $22 inclusive, 4 different pizzas, salad, garlic breadsticks, dessert, tea & water — with taxes and tips included.

  5. Edith Baier says:

Hello, I live in Northern California, are there any plans to offer these classes in other states? I use my Silhouette all the time and I would very much like a hands on class like this to become more proficient at using the many fearures that this machine has to offer.

    Kind Regards,
    Edith

  6. Constance Sheehey says:

I wish there was a conference in the west!

  7. Hi Terri – Do you have any plans to offer the “All Things Silhouette” conference in other areas?

  8. J Anderson says:

I would be driving 12 hours to attend. I don’t see any hours for beginning or ending each day. Are the classes organized back to back. I will have a traveling partner who is not attending and need to know the daily time frame for that reason.

    • Hi! The conference will begin on Saturday @ 8am with the vendor hall opening & 9am for classes. (There is an optional Meet & Greet Pizza buffet on Friday evening.) We will wind up with door prizes @ 4pm on Sunday. You will want to be there for those, as you must be present to win. Hope that you can join us!!

    • Hi — We will begin both mornings with the vendor hall opening @ 8 and classes at 9. We will finish up classes at 5 on Saturday, with a dinner break and then optional hands on classes @ 7 until 9. Sunday, we will finish @ 4pm with door prizes. Don’t want to miss that!

  9. What time does the Friday meet and greet start? I was looking for start/end times so I could make travel reservations. Thanks!
    Connie

    • Connie — Friday’s Meet & Greet will begin @ 6pm. Also we will wind up on Sunday with the final door prizes @ 4pm. You don’t want to miss that!! See you soon! Terri

  10. Any chance you could host a conference on the west coast? There are quite a few of us Silhouette users out here who would LOVE to attend a conference like this!!

    • Laura, We don’t have anything at this time, but — New conferences are in the works, so that is a possibility. So, please subscribe to my blog, so that you will be sure to receive notifications of future events.

  11. Mary Stephani says:

Can you attend the exhibit hall without attending the workshop?

    • Mary – -Due to space & fire code, we are maxed out at our attendees – -so I’m afraid that we won’t be able to have vendor passes. Would love to have you join us in November, though!

  12. Terri-
First off, do you ever do conferences in Pensacola? Next, is there a waiting list for cancellations for April conference?

  13. The conference was wonderful! Took my daughter and we had such a great time and learned so much we can’t wait to go back!
