 Greyson Brooks Collage

Well, its been waaay too long since I’ve posted here — but life just gets a little crazy sometimes!   And my life is no exception —

And, as you can tell from the photos — I’ve become a grandmother for the 2nd time!   Greyson Brooks made his arrival a week ago – -on Tuesday, June 17 at 4:46 am — weighing 7 lbs., 8oz!   Needless to say, we are all thrilled & in serious “baby mode” these days!

Also our youngest daughter (seen here in the strawberry fields!) is expecting “Grandson #3” in September – so we are busy preparing of this arrival as well!    There is just nothing more precious than a new baby!   And nothing more fun than sewing & crafting for them!  So, I have been busy in my studio making some baby things!  And since we seem to only produce boys in this family — this post is going to have a “Boy flavor” to it!

So, this week, I wanted to make some machine embroidered appliqué bibs and burp cloths.  Since its summer time, I purchased some really cute summer appliqué designs from Planet Applique.    (She has a nice promotional going on – check it out!)   The sailboat design that I’m using has 3 appliqué pieces — so I wanted to share with you a video on how to cut all three pieces on your Silhouette.

This video will show you how to create your cut files in 2 different softwares — One that you can save in SVG format — and one where you cannot.  This should cover just about everyone!   Today’s post is the first part – with the video.  Tomorrow’s post will be the actual cutting & stitching part — so you can see how it all goes together!   So, click on over to YouTube now to watch this video — and while you’re there — subscribe to my channel!  That way you won’t miss part 2!   Or any other future videos.

And NOW — for the awesome part!!  Silhouette has a great promotion going on now through July 5th!  30% off of everything (well just about — there are some exceptions!)   But this is a great time to stock up on all of those consumables — like mats, blades, and for this project — Sewable Fabric Interfacing from Silhouette!     And if you don’t own a Silhouette yet — Now is the time!  Awesome bundles!

In order to take advantage of these savings – click on the SILHOUETTE AD BELOW and use the promo code TERR

So — stock up on your goodies, — watch the tutorial video – -and stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!  Terri
