Hello – Today I’m going to share with you how to finish creating our little penguin Print & Cut gift tag in Silhouette Studio! Its perfect to use for bake sales (like I did) — or gift tags for your Christmas gifts! This technique can be applied to make all types of tags for any occasion! Instead of the penguin — use a picture of the recipient! That way, even the littlest one at your party can help distribute gifts!
This video will show you how to turn your Print & Cut files into a gift tag! Remember, this is a re-post from 2013, so some features in the Studio software may look a little different!
Day #9 – Crafty Deal of the Day – Remember — Just one more week to register for the All Things Silhouette Conference & be a part of our Christmas promotion!! If you register by December 25, you will be entered into a Mint Giveaway drawing & receive 5 extra door prize tickets!! (I know this is the same thing I mentioned yesterday – but its awesome — so its worth repeating!!) This file can also be downloaded & printed out for gift giving!!!
Hope you found this tutorial helpful! Now, off to baking & wrapping — Have a great day —
I have watched this video several times (I am a subscriber). I making transparency ornaments and I would like the Silhouette to cut the shape around the design. Even when I print on paper the shape doesn’t show up and the line color is set to black. I am still working on Christmas orders and cutting by hand is time consuming. Suggestions?
Vicki — Be sure that your cut line around the transparency set to CUT in the Cut settings window — that may be the problem!
Hi Terri, Thanks for the cute Penguin Print & Cut Gift tag Tutorial. I have always had a hard time getting two images together and end up trying to weld them. Most of the time this does not work and my image looks funny…lol I forgot about using the offset function to create one entire image. Time for me to go over to my silhouette and try this out. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!
Trina — Great! Sos glad you found this helpful! Enjoy & Merry Christmas!
