New Products Released at Silhouette Summit 2024

Silhouette America just unveiled some exciting new products at the 2024 Silhouette Summit! While we don’t have access to them just yet, as they’re marked "coming soon," I wanted to share all the details I’ve gathered so far!

Silhouette cloChé - The Silhouette cloChé is a lightweight and portable heat press,  making it easy to use, carry, and store. It comes in 3 beautiful colors, Chiffon Pink, Ice Green, and Milky White. 

The Silhouette cloChé has dimensions of 34.9cm x 33.7cm x 10.4cm (13.8in x 13.3in x 4.2in) and provides equal pressure across the surface. The temperature is controlled with a turning dial, with L representing a temperature of 120°C (248°F), M falling at 160°C (320°F) and the high setting (H) reaching 200°C (392°F). The cloChé is lightweight at just 5kg (11lbs).  

Included with the Silhouette cloChé is the “cloChé Petite." This innovative tool allows users to apply heat transfer vinyl to items that are difficult to work with using traditional flat presses,such as hats, shoes, and more. It is also great for those small projects and edges.  

The Cloché Heat Press is loaded with safety features. After 45 seconds of operation, an alarm sounds to alert users, and if the buzzer continues for 2 minutes, the heater automatically shuts off, offering peace of mind. Additionally, the heater powers down after 15 minutes of inactivity for extra safety.

Silhouette CAMEO PRO MK-II

The Cameo Pro Mark II is the latest addition to Silhouette's cutting machine lineup! With a cutting width of 24 inches (60.96 cm), the Silhouette CAMEO PRO MK-II boasts one of the largest cutting capacities on the market. This allows makers to bring their creative visions to life on a larger scale, whether by creating larger designs or cutting more small designs at once.

The Silhouette CAMEO PRO MK-II is equipped with enhanced loadability and additional auxiliary rollers for increased stability during operation. The introduction of new power tool capabilities, including the heat pen, expands the machine's versatility. The easy-to-use cutting functions offer precise control, and the repeat function allows for simple execution of multiple jobs, streamlining the creation process.

Silhouette Stand: A Solution to Creating with Long Materials

Silhouette is also introducing a new stand to complement the CAMEO PRO MK-II, designed to simplify the use of long materials in the creative process. Compatible with the CAMEO 4 and later models, this stand is ideal for working on large projects in smaller spaces. It features a basket that holds materials before and after feeding them through the machine, keeping them clean and off the floor. This enhances the functionality of the CAMEO PRO MK-II, allowing users to create more efficiently with each use.

Heat Pen Super-Fine:
The Heat Pen Super-Fine is the latest addition to Silhouette’s lineup of versatile creative tools. Compatible with the CURIO2, CAMEO5, PORTRAIT4, and CAMEO PRO MK-II, this tool is designed for use on cardstock, enabling users to add fine heat-pressed designs to their projects. Half the width of the original tool, the super fine heat pen boasts a 0.5mm (0.02 in) tip. The Super Fine Heat Pen may be purchased individually, or as part of a set (retailing at $119.99) with the original fine and wide heat pens, gold and silver heat transfer foil, and masking tape.

New Pen Holder (Type C) Set
Silhouette is adding a new adapter to their pen holder collection. The extra large (orange) adapter comes in a set with the small, medium and large adapters for use with a range of pens. From a thinner ball-point to a thicker felt tipped marker, the Pen Holder (Type C) set can do it all. The XL adapter is compatible with pens and markers with a diameter of 11.3 mm (about 0.44 in) to 12.4 mm (about 0.49 in), giving creators greater flexibility in pen sizes for their projects.

Silhouette Studio 5: Simplified Design with New Starter Mode
Silhouette Studio's updated user interface now includes added step-by-step guides and helpful illustrations, making it easier for users to navigate the software. The update specifically addresses common pain points, such as the Page Setup and Send Panel pages, which have been redesigned to offer a more streamlined experience.

The new Starter Mode in Silhouette Studio is crafted with beginners in mind, streamlining the design process by limiting icons and features to avoid overwhelming users. The simplified view offers a clear, easy-to-navigate interface that guides users step-by-step through the design process and includes illustrations, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

In addition, the step-by-step guides are intended to help new customers to become more aware of the types of projects available, and to guide them onto more advanced types of material, tools and machines.

The home screen gives a friendlier, easier starting page for customers, introduces them to Project Tutorials and promotes designs from the design store.

Silhouette WEB
Silhouette Web is an entirely new software product being made available as a public Beta NOW!  It will allow customers to design, import, modify and send designs to any Silhouette machine with a Bluetooth connection (Cameo 3 and later). As a website, it can be used on any device with internet connection (tablets, phones, laptops, PCs, Chromebooks etc.), without having to download and install any new software. This gives customers the complete freedom to design wherever they want and sits alongside Silhouette Studio and Silhouette Go to offer our customers a powerful and flexible set of software.

Silhouette Web has been designed with the same goals as Silhouette Studio 5.0. It includes the Home Page, Project Tutorials and Guided SEND seen in Silhouette Studio 5.0, and all of the core features of Silhouette Studio are supported, including Library, Shapes, Trace, Text, Alignment/Modification Tool and Print-and-Cut. Silhouette Web works towards the same goals as Silhouette Studio 5.0; making the first-time experience easier for new customers, and enabling/guiding existing customers to making more advanced projects.

Launching: Before Christmas

Most of these exciting new products are coming soon -- but the Silhouette Web is now available live in Beta version and can be accessed here.  Remember - Beta is not the final version - this is a test version and Silhouette will be using this Beta version to collect information & release the final product.  In the mean time, it is fun to check it out.  A few things to note:

• This is compatible with Bluetooth Silhouette machines only
• Browser Capability -- To ensure the best experience, run Silhouette Web on the latest version of the Chrome browser.  
•  If you have an Android device, you can send directly to your machine via Bluetooth
• If you have an Apple device (iPad), you cannot send directly to your Silhouette.   Apple is proprietary & will not allow this -- This is a restriction from Apple - and nothing Silhouette can do about it.  I am a Mac user, and when I open Silhouette Web on my iPad, I receive the message "OS Not compatible - IOS does not support connection via Bluetooth from a web page.  Please use Silhouette Go app to send to your machine."    What this means is that you will need to save your creations & designs, open Silhouette GO and send to your machine that way.   I have just started playing around with this and will share more with you soon!  

I am so excited about these new products & cannot wait to get my hands on them!!  And as they become available, I will be sharing more tutorials and projects!   Sounds like they will be available in time for the holiday season!
